The back-vented fibre cement facade with SPIDI® system

Apartment building, Vienna (A)

The manufacturers of fibre cement boards recognised early the advantages of a back-vented facade, and used their products to complement the excellent properties of the back-vented facade. For the exterior of the façade structure, wall tiles or facade slabs of various formats as well as various arrangements and fixation methods are used.
Fibre cement slabs are not flammable and free from inorganic substances.

Hydrophobed facade insulation materials allow both open and closed joints to be produced. They do not interfere with radar, therefore they are also suitable for use in the vicinity of airports.
